I don’t make new year’s resolutions anymore. Sure, there are always things that I’m interested in, or focusing on, or events I’m preparing for. But I don’t set goals anymore. It’s a little hard to explain in a short blog comment. But I’m not just playing with semantics (the word “resolution” vs. “interests”). My not-making-resolutions is a whole different mindset that I began a few years ago.
For 2014 I made a resolution to NOT go on a weight loss diet. No counting calories, fat grams, etc. And I am happy to report that I have lost 20 pounds.
Susan, hooray for you! My hat’s off to you!
Sort out and get rid of most of the piles of papers that have accumulated in my home office.
I don’t make resolutions but I hope to be a better Home Teacher and a better teacher to my adult children in 2015. Best calling I ever had was being a Primary Teacher. It taught me how I could have been (and should have been) a better teacher and example to my young family. Wish my first calling after joining the Church would have been a Primary Teacher.
I wish you would have added 2 more options: 1) Give up a bad habit (no need to specify), and 2) Become more “Christlike” (again, no need to specify how or in what area).
