Easter 2025 is over. For Christians, the path and the calendar move toward Pentecost. Celebration of Christianity’s greatest miracle transitions to questions of what to do now. How do we honor or magnify what the holiday offered us? This is a good time to pause and ask ourselves what, if anything, we got out of this year’s Easter. For me, as an adult growing older, Easter has become far more important than Christmas. It is both a culmination of an entire season and a call to move forward with purpose. Especially since I’m agnostic, Easter has been a time to reflect on mortality, quality of life, my contributions to this world, and my place in the universe as a whole. So… what now?

An Easter Message You May Have Missed

If you have the time, about 20 minutes, I highly recommend viewing this wonderful Easter sermon from Washington National Cathedral. It includes direct reflections on Easter accounts in the gospels, acknowledgement of real world events and issues, and questioning not only the role Christianity plays, but contemplating what Christianity even is.
