A lot of people think the Book of Mormon took place in Mesoamerica, but Robert Roylance has a slightly different perspective. He thinks it took place on the Yucatan Peninsula. That’s not exactly narrow. How does he explain a narrow neck of land? He says there are some swampy areas that become lakes with a lot of rain making travel difficult/impossible, creating a narrow neck of land.
